The Weekend Low-Down with Mr. Pauer

Wazzup Fordistas! I hope all the madness of Halloween treated you well.  This week, we have an amazing selection of events happening all over Miami.

To begin, Preview Thursday November 7th is the new monthly event of the galleries of Wynwood creating a more intimate environment to appreciate art. Participating galleries will extend their time until 9PM. Also happening this week is the Web Congress, where geeks and new technology meet to discuss our future in social media. If you are into this, you will be in heaven! This will happen at the James L. Knight Center November 7th-9th

On Friday November 8th, Miami will have the opportunity to experience Manganiyar Seduction at the Miami-Dade Auditorium (2901 W. Flagler St., Miami, FL) – A spectacular part theatrical, part rock and lots of beats straight from India. It’s hard to describe so… a video will give you a better idea: http://vimeo.com/76147211

Another great event to enjoy the amazing weather is the Cycling Night at the New World Symphony with a Bach Suite No.3 concert and the Miami premiere of the award-winning film Bicycle Dreams on the patio.

Saturday November 9th is Wynwood Art Walk, one of Miami’s biggest and coolest social gatherings on a monthly basis. Be sure to stop by the Yo Amo 305 gallery to preview “The Production Line” by 2Alas with work inspired by Henry Ford. This street art duo really nailed it creating limited edition prints. Swing by early and you might be one of the lucky ones to receive a free print.

From 7-12AM, I’ll be launching a new series from the Pauer Source Studio called “Live From Wynwood”. This is a window performance that you can enjoy when passing by The Light Box on 404 NW 26ST. This is an experiment to create interaction between artist and listeners.

Also on Saturday, Locust Projects in conjunction with Art Basel Miami Beach has the opening reception and performance of South African sculptor Nicholas Hlobo. He will be doing a remote collaboration from South Africa for the first time with Miami-based band Papaloko.

 Nice Jazz

Sunday November 10th will be the closing of Miami Nice Jazz Festival at The Riviera Hotel from 6-11PM celebrating a great program complete with Rosé wine taste. Also, you can catch Mexican band Café Tacuba’s performance at FON Fest among other great artists like Matisyahu, Nortec Collective, DJ Vadim and much more.

Have a great weekend and enjoy the amazing weather!
