What an excellent way to begin the week. Fans saw the biggest moment for Miami Dolphins football in a very long time. We asked for it in our previous blog and Coach Philbin delivered. Ryan Tannehill became the first rookie quarterback to start for the Fins in franchise history, something that neither hall of famer Dan Marino nor Bob Griese were able to accomplish. Talk about a historic start, a new era is about to begin.
A Real Coach
Making Ryan Tannehill our starting quarterback is more than just a bold move by Coach Philbin. It’s a sign that we could breathe easier knowing that the Miami Dolphins finally have a coach in command that is willing to make moves benefiting our football team and not calling it safe to secure a job. Today we salute Coach Philbin, not just for making a move, but for the first time in a very long time, the right move.
Good Call Coach!
As fans we should be happy that we finally have a real candidate at quarterback in the right place, the starting spot. We should also be pleased that Coach Philbin will not sugar-coat any of his decisions based on anything other than our football team. What a week it’s been for the Miami Dolphins family, one where we got an opportunity to say something we hadn’t said in a very long, GOOD CALL COACH!
