GO to Homestead: Military Jets, Speedways and Fruit Smoothies

Starting today until June 16, everyone who visits a South Florida Ford dealership and takes a Ford for a test drive will fund one care package to be donated to U.S. military troops on behalf of Operation Gratitude. In the spirit of gratitude, we’re ready to get in and GO drive down South to check out the Homestead Air Reserve Base (after our test drive, of course!)

Just one of Homestead’s many must-see’s, the combat-ready base is capable of providing F-16 fighter aircraft for worldwide deployment. It’s also a wonderful community of military personnel and families who come together to celebrate and support our troops with various events throughout the year. In fact, the base is looking forward to a 4th of July celebration for military members, veterans and their families. For more information, check out their Facebook page here or get a group together for an on-site tour.

After a visit to the base, perhaps head over to the Homestead Speedway to see where Nascar hosts its Ford EcoBoost 400 and champions are chosen. Of course, don’t forget to grab a smoothie at Robert Is Here  – one of South Florida’s most beloved fruit stands (pro-tip: you won’t regret ordering the Passion and Strawberry smoothie). Now, get in and GO.
