Mural Hunting in Wynwood

If you ever find yourself deep in the Wynwood Arts District, your first impression might be that you are surrounded by nothing but a bunch of “rundown” buildings and warehouses. Some of them are occupied and others, abandoned.

But what you might not be aware of is that on the walls of those warehouses, hidden behind a metal fence, or simply placed on a window facing a side street that faces yet… another wall, you’ll find that what you are truly surrounded by is ART!

Some might be large pieces of expression that can take up an entire wall. And some might be subtle pieces of expression like a pair of curious footprints painted randomly on the sidewalk.  But nevertheless, no matter how big or small, they will make you stop on your tracks, take a second look, and wonder who put it there and why?

So, we have taken our camera and on foot, weaved our way through and in between the streets of Wynwood in search of ART. Here are just a few of our favorite, and perhaps you will think of us when you discover them for yourselves!
